BREAKING: Cavaliers to Part Ways With GM David Griffin

Well, Cavaliers fans, the saga is finally over.

We kept hearing conflicting reports regarding Cavaliers general manager David Griffin and whether or not he'd be back with the team next year. His contract expired after the season and it was unclear if the team would offer him a new one.

The most recent reports showed some promise, but the latest news suggests otherwise.

Griffin will no longer work for the Cavs, and it looks like GM LeBron James is about to take over.

Griffin was reportedly being targeted by the Magic to run their basketball operations, but the team already filled that vacancy, so it looks like Griffin will have to wait for another opening or see if another team will pounce at signing him and reassigning other members in their front office.

Griffin's replacement is quite interesting.

Billups has been mentioned as a potential GM candidate recently, so it looks like that could be getting closer to happening, especially since LeBron loves that player-mentality personnel running the show.
