The Cleveland Cavaliers have made it clear that they are in need of a quality backup point guard, and their main trading piece, Iman Shumpert, is clearly available.

Several opposing executives have an interest in Shumpert around the league.

Will say this about : Opposing execs have told me Iman Shumpert is clearly available and there is indeed interest around league.

One of those executives, New Orleans Pelicans, have talked with the Cavaliers front office, but a move doesn't seem likely.

have had some talks with Pelicans and are listening to offers for Iman Shumpert, per ESPN. Moving Shump "not likely" tho, per source.

The Minnesota Timberwolves would have a keen interest in taking Shumpert off of the Cavaliers hands as well.

Shump to the T-Wolves?

Minnesota is reportedly interested in acquiring the Cavs guard http://ble.ac/2mbYAlD

Shumpert is surprisingly having a great year for the Cavaliers. He is averaging 7.8 points per game while shooting 42.5% from the field.

Shumpert has played very well in the absence of J.R. Smith, but once Smith returns his minutes will take a hit. The Cavaliers just traded for backup shooting guard Kyle Korver and added Derrick Williams on the team for depth.

It is clear that the Cavaliers are still looking for a backup point guard. And Shumpert is better than people give him credit for.

But what will the asking price be for a Shumpert trade to go down?
