Andrew Bogut Officially Signs With Cleveland Cavaliers



The Cavaliers officially announced on Thursday afternoon that they had signed big man Andrew Bogut.

The 7-footer was waived by the 76ers on Monday after being traded by the Dallas Mavericks on February 23rd.

For his career, the Australian has averaged 10.0 points per game, 8.9 rebounds per game, and 1.6 blocks per contest. Bogut also won an NBA Championship in 2015 with the Golden State Warriors against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Bogut was selected with the first overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, and has played in the Olympics three times for his native Australia, where he was teammates with former Cav Matthew Dellavedova in 2016.

The Cavs also announced that Bogut will wearing #6 for the wine and gold.

Through 26 games with the Mavericks this season, Bogut has averaged just 3 points and 8 rebounds per game.

Reports indicate that the big man will miss the next two games for Cleveland on Friday and Saturday and make his debut on Monday at Quicken Loans Arena against the Miami Heat.
